CHECK THE PLUGS

Squirt a little Redex into each plug hole and leave the engine for stand for at least an hour. Now put in just one plug and give it a few turns on the handle take that out and put in a different plug, and repeat until all for plugs have been in singly. Then with plugs out, turn the engine quite fast by hand on the starting handle for a while, to get oil circulated around the system the more of this the better.

Immediately after this the plugs can go back and you can’t try to start it on the starter. As soon s it’s running, watch for leaks and listens for nasty noises keep clear of moving parts. As temperature rises, coolant should circulate keep feeling warm. If the engine gets very hot and the radiator to be sure it’s getting warm. If the engine gets very hot and the radiator stays cold, switch off your thermostat is jammed. Assuming this doesn’t happen, switch off as soon as the radiator is nicely warm then look and listen for leaks, hissing of steam or any other nasties.
