WINTER TYRES

The fact is no matter how good a company’s products might be no matter how well it’s selling there is always the boardroom obsession to sell even more. And the motive is not necessary the safe of several million motorists, but it is certainly about extracting more cash from the pockets of these motorists.
Before getting too cynical though let’s view this situation from the standpoint of v tyre manufacturer that has nothing but the safety of the human race at heat

Winter tyres contain more natural rubber, so the compound doesn’t harden as much as that of normal tyres when the temperature drops. Because the compound stays softer and more flexible, it achieves more grips and also wears more quickly than a normal tyre would in cold conditions. According to tests by a tyre manufacturer that extra grip has been shown to reduce stopping distance from 62mph at 5 C by five meters compared to standard tyres.
