With a rugged ladder frame box section chassis and aluminium body work, in Defender is incredibly tough. its practical advantages include its unmatched combination of off road supremacy, carrying capacity and towing capability. The famous defender name was introduced in 1990 but the model is a direct descendant of the original Land Rover introduced in 1948. the vehicle’s unrivaled off road ability meant that it soon found favour in every corner of the developing world. It is believed that for more than half the population of the world, the first vehicle they ever saw was a Land Rover.
Production of defender and its predecessors has passed 1.8 million and it is estimated that more than two this thirds of them are still in use. it is available in 90,110 and 130 inch wheelbase versions and can be bought off the shelf with van, pick up, twin cab and station wagon body variants , although many other one offs were produced.
