RANGE ROVER CLASSIC

If ever there was a vehicle that looked right at home on currently estates, it’s the Range Rover. It exudes class and style while at the same time not being flash.
When it was launched almost 40 years ago it wouldn’t have been possible to imagine that the future would push it away from its hose out interior to one more befitting a Rolls Royce with electric everything. Two doors and a two part tailgate were the order of the day until the four doors was introduced in 1982 an immense length of time. You can imagine the warmth that the extra pair of doors were greeted with when they finally arrived.
On road the large V8 petrol engine whooshed Range Rovers along motorways and fast  A roads with elan. The cars did however lack any short of handling prowess on more demanding thoroughfares.
Automatic gearboxes and fully adjustable seats came in together with electrical windows and sunroof, air-conditioning air suspension a far cry from the almost utility vehicle that kicked it off at the start of the ’70s in the early days, you really did get the impression that every Range Rover you saw was used off road whether it was on a shooting estate or on a farm. Hitched up to a twin axle livestock trailer.
it was of course, much more comfortable than the series III and had better-off road ability, while its fuel consumption was no worse.
