OFF ROAD TRACKES

Depending on where you like to 4WD (with defender) will depend on what the track you’re driving on is used for remote areas. Chances are the off road track is also the main road in and out of town. In forests, chances are the tracks for logging or other commercial interests in the bush. In some other cases, a track is exactly that and nothing more than an access route.
Because the bush tracks with many other recreational and commercial users, we have an obligation to keep the track in a relatively good state. We can keep track conditions good by not traveling on them in wet conditions, when there is a far greater chance of ripping the tracks up, and also driving in a controlled manner to reduce tyre spin and damage. As we know, there are many out back towns around the country that rely on supplies to be trucked into town via the one dirt road in and town. Driving on these roads in very wet condition can easily leave big ruts and washouts on the tracks and chance are locals will get extremely frustrated if you’ve been chewing their main thoroughfares up. More than likely the roads will be closed to save them from being destroyed. Never ignore a closed road and continue driving.
