LAND ROVER READY FOR RIGOURS OFF ROADING

We all know Land Rover are designed and build to go off road it’s their natural habitat. But if they’re not maintained they can let you down, especially if pushed past their limits. Getting your motor ready for the rough isn’t about splashing out big cash on off roading gizmos, though. Instead, concentrate on making your machine reliable. Only when that’s been accomplished, need you think about fitting trick parts for extreme terrain.
Your engine and transmission will need to handle the different driving style required off road, such as high rev climbs in low gears, and using plenty of power at low speed while little flows through the radiator.
Suspension is in for a heavy work out tyres and wheel bearings will be hanging on over edges while coping with angles that load them to the hilt. Rocks and branches will be snagging pipes and cables under the chassis.
