Much more depressing than sheared off air cleaner mountings is a rusty chassis. That’s why we made sure the chassis on TWE was a good un when we brought it. Just lately, though, I’d begun to wonder if it was maybe too good. Re chassis? But why? Accident damage? But there are no signs of a rebuild.
Ok look for chassis stamps, then. We’re checking out a 1994 built vehicle, and we find FB 94 stamped on the offside longtitudinal just forward of the bulkhead outrigger. So, it’s a nice, original chassis after all but it’ll need waxing sooner than later if it’s to stay nice.
