OUT ON THE ROAD

The clean Neighborhood  and Environment Act 2005 allows you to work on a vehicle at the side of the road as long as you’re not doing the work for gain or reward However, if the work gives reasonable cause for annoyance to persons in the vicinity, you can be fined up to……..
You won’t be penalized for working on a genuine breakdown where repairs on the sport or elsewhere on the road are necessary, even if someone does start complaining. The repairs have to be completed within 72 hours of the initial fault or within a pre arranged time agreed with the local authority.
If you take in the odd repair job in return for payment, you’re unlikely to attract any attention from your local planning authority. But if business picks up and there’s a constant flow of vehicles coming in and out of your property, then the planners may ask for you to apply for permission to run a business from home.
