Series III diesel lift pump is mounted on lift side of engine and driven from camshaft. It can be overhauled using a service kit. Lift pump supplies fuel to the main filter fixed to the Series III bulkhead. Draw off any water from the tap beneath the filter.
CAV injector pump needs specialist servicing, but it’s easy to remove and refit, aligning marks on base flange and block. Series III and Ninety and One Ten injectors is flange bolted to the cylinder head. Upper union connects spill pipe, front is supply. Removed and inverted all injectors need careful handling to avoid nozzle damage, though these obviously need an overhaul
