There are breaks and brackets to deal with and then the fitting and building up the bulkhead. Many of you will have tackled the bulkhead swap, on your own Land Rovers, so you’ll know what‘s involved. For those of who haven’t you’ll have to strip down and remove you’re old bulkhead before you get to the stage we reach in step.
First stat the guides it carefully into position on the chassis. This long bolt secures the bulkhead to the chassis outriggers. Like the bulkhead brackets fitted in step 4, these bolts aren’t tightened fully at this stage. The wiring loom was carefully labeled before it was stripped out of the chassis. This will make it a lot easier to refit to the rebuild Land Rover. But it still looks quite terrifying when you see it in its raw, unconnected state. Stuart feed the engine bay section of the loom through the bulkhead. Note the rubber grommet near the gearlever this is pushed into the hole in the bulkhead after the wires have gone through to stop them chafing on the metal. After maybe it would have been better to spry the bulkhead in body color before it was fitted.
