Spigot bush

If you hear a groarining from the transmission when operating the clutch pedal when the drive train is cold. The spigot bush in the of the flywheel. The gear box input shaft locates inside it. The bush is impregnated with lubricant, but it still tends to run dry initially. Bush can be removed without using the land rover special tool. Pack grease into bush than select round bar or socket with extension. That’s a neat fit. Push it against grease and give it a sharp hammer blow. The hydraulic pressure generated in the grease forces the bush out

This is the front end of the gear box input shaft (inside the bell housing), which located in the spigot bush when assembled its always worth renewing the bush whenever the gearbox  has been pulled back. Remove the grease, position the new bush, and tap gently in using wood drift, keeping it aligned. Clean and grease lightly inside the bush.
