The Genuine part

The Britpart’s Defender Td5. The object of that exercise was to reach the clutch to the engine, and to take a close look at some recognized clutch and flywheel trouble sports. Removed the transmission by low ring it using a Crain inside the cab. That method can’t, of course, be used on a Td5 Defender with its fixed floor pans but, once the transmission is out, the work on the exposed clutch and flywheel applies equally to both Td5 defenders. To catch up with life in the Britpart workshop, we’ll take up from Britpart. Having got the transmission out on to the floor and taken a well earned breather, Stuart tackles the clutch while. I check Britpart’s new range of clutch kits and examine those trouble spots.
