The ECU connector



 
The air flow meter isn’t connected to any diagnostic part of the engine management system, so any problem with this part wont illuminate the MIL ( malfunction indicator lamp).
The most likely cause for this particular fault is the injector wiring harness that runs inside the rocker cover. Its also worth disconnecting the main multiplug from the engine ECU to check for oil. And be warned if there is any sign of the oil here, you’ll need a complete  new engine management wiring harness and maybe a new electronic control.
