The Land Rover Disco Body

I can understand why so many discovery’s faced with needed a new rear floor and front inner wings. And that exactly way we are taken the old 2.8 liter discovery off the road. If needed a lot of work to get in through an MOT and, it’s time to put it out to pasture. The final straw was the heart matrix failing but, combined with corrosion problems and batter body work (no penal was straight) it was beyond economic repair. If we have done a spot preventative maintenance, welding plates on the holes in the body work as soon as rust patches appeared, it probably would have soldiered on for a year or two more. But we didn’t and now it’s too late. it would be cheaper to buy a newer model, strip the old one and rebuild the newer, less rusty, model with all the accessories.
Some of you will no doubt say that we shouldn’t be consign discovery of this vintage aren’t exactly the rarest vehicle in the world and there are hundreds, if not thousands, of them in far, far better condition still in regular use. These are the ones that are worth spending the cash on the keeping.
