WHAT WE LIKE FREELANDER

One of the simplest gripes to remedy would be the driver’s seat travel, or more precisely lack of travel. Anyone long of the limb will find they cannot push the seat back far enough for the perfect driving position and is also in danger of bashing there head on the latch for the roof panels. While we are on the subject of the roof, it is impossible for one person to remove the hard top on their own, which limits the occasions when you will be the able to use the vehicle with the back open. Even with two people it’s a 10minuts struggle. Still, I found with a worthwhile struggle on sunny days, the vehicle is comfortable to drive in traffic and takes for adults without trouble. The rear seats fold down and the freelander can take bulky loads without batting an eyelid. On one occasion you can used it to move house and it swallowed a surprising amount of your junk. Putting petrol in is one of the less comfortable aspects of freelander ownerships. The overall consumption figure of 25mpg is not only wallet stinging but also means that the distance between fill ups is a measly 250mils. With no low fuel warning light, you got in the habit of filling up well before that mileage. When the vehicle came back, the mechanics had found a faulty indicator switch and replaced it. They had also replaced the clutch hydraulics. However replacing the hydraulics did not fix the errant gear box Hove can a vehicle that it as well known for its lake of reliability as for it’s off road ability continue to be the best seller in its market
