The fact that JCB,s marvelous Dieselmax snatched its record at the legendary Bonneville salt flats in the USA can’t have escaped American cousins. Perhaps it has even won over a few more diesel converts in a country where cheap gasoline is becoming a thing of the past.
Ford in the USA recently announced a new clean burning diesel engine for its latest generation of Super Duty trucks that go on sale in early 2007. A day later General Motors followed suit, promising a new diesel lump for its pick up vehicle.
As I said two month ago, its high time Land Rover launched its brilliant new diesel Range Rovers and Discovery Land Rover 3 in the USA to guarantee even more success.
