UPRATING 90 FOR A LIFE MORE EXTREME

The 2.5 diesel is not ideally suited to tuning. Your best option is to take it to a diesel tuning specialist to have the fuel distributor pump set for a higher fuel input, and perhaps match this by fitting a larger sized intercooler.
The standard exhaust is not constricted, though a slight advantage could be gained by gas flowing the cylinder head a service is offered by turner engineering. It would be worthwhile having the diesel fuel injectors overhauled or renewed, depending on previous maintenance. A new galvanized chassis is the ultimate answer to preventing corrosion. But if you buy a vehicle with a sound chassis scrape off any loose underseal, rub down corroded areas and treat the rust with a rust arrester, zinc primer and top coat. Then apply anti rust wax inside and about.
Modification to traction and articulation depending on what you’ll be using the vehicle for. There are so many combinations of set up for different purposes that it is not possible to generalize.
