DEFENDER TD5 LIVES ON

The down of the New Year heralds the start of a brave new world as the Land Rover fraternity awaits the arrival of the brand new 2007 model year Defender. The completely revised utility superstar isn’t due in the showroom. The Land Rover would commit only to an approximate March/ April launch but that doesn’t mean franchised dealers won’t have any Defender to sell in the weeks leading up until then. Although the TD5 engine can’t meet strict Euro IV emission regulation that came into force on January 1, EU regulation allow for manufactures and dealers to clear existing stocks
Additionally 2006model year 110 Defender station wagons now fall foul of regulations regarding the mounting of three point seat belt but they, too are covered by the but the period of grace get out clause.
