THE RANGE ROVER COMFORTABLE

From the passenger seat its potency was obvious, and even the high mileage test hack seemed smooth and refined compared to our then current expectation for a diesel engine. We were also treated to an amazing demonstration of the new Range Rover’s anti lock brakes, traction control and its anti spain technology the Directional Stability Control (DSC), which electronically senses if the vehicle is getting out of line and adjusts engine power accordingly.
Harsh braking acceleration and dramatic high speed direction changes were carried high speed direction changes were carried out under perfect control and all of this on the polished ice surface that was difficult to stand up on, let alone drive a motor vehicle.
You can’t see much engine under its plastic covers, all of which obviously help with sound deadening. But considering what’s going on inside the engine the combustion chamber of a compression ignition engine is violent noisy place to be Land Rover has achieved something impressive.
