Whatever your views on global warming and fossil fuel reserves, and their correlation with vehicle engines, it’s a serious matter for car makers including Land Rover. Engine development is now driven by next set of upcoming emission requirements. That’s great news for us, because it putting some amazing engine into Land Rovers who would have expected that a 2007 Range Rover would come with massive performance from a smooth, quiet, clean and economical V8 diesel?
We can put the P38 CO2 figure into context by assuming it’s driven for 12,000 miles each tear. That just over 2.5 tonner of CO2 which very roughly, would fill and aero plane hanger, not a lot of when diluted into our atmosphere.
So your P38 has a negligible impact on global warming the problem is the other 683 million vehicles worldwide, adding their bit.
