Comfort is everything on both long journeys and cross country trips. Standard Series seats and the middle row ones on LWB station wagons don’t offer the best back support, so replacement with high back are great. You can get straight replacements for standard back.
You can also get replacement seat bases with heater element installed brilliant for those cold winter mornings. Bucket seats will keep you in place, no matter what the type of terrain you are traversing. Or you could just go for a pair of scrapyard specials. With so many cars being binned at relatively young ages there are wide range of seats available.
If you are going to take this route, make sure the seat is the correct width to fit in the space and that the seat doesn’t push your knees too close to the steering wheel. Other internal improvements to consider are switch panels and those useful auxiliary electrical points.
Running heavy duty feeds to the rear of your Land rover means you can run equipment from the back of the vehicle and adding hard wired inverters mean that you can even take a microwave cooker on camping trips into the wilderness.
